3 IDEAS
1. To fulfill your desire to become a truly patient-first brain health organization, AOI should build a cross-functional, diverse team beyond just physicians, scientists, and therapists. It should build and prioritize a Lived Experience Board.
2. To advance your desire to provide rehab, optimization, and longevity, AOI should understand that the brain is not just another organ. In order for brain, mind, and person to be well, the nervous system must be relaxed. AOI should build a brain wellness center in nature.
3. To advance your desire to utilize best-in-class therapies and techniques, AOI should embrace brain-healing therapies that already exist, but are not yet acknowledged by most American allopathic neuroscientists and neurologists.
3 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1. In 2025, I stopped describing myself as disabled.
2. In 2024 I completed the pre-medicine core at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a 3.80 GPA and two citations in neurosurgery research papers.
3. In 2019, while in a coma from my accident, I graduated from the Wharton School of Business with a BSE in Finance with Cum Laude distinction.

I invite you to read more about my neurology activism on my home page, rlietrom.com. You'll see that I don't have a PhD or MD (today) but I am an expert in Neurology of a different dimension.
The mission of my organization, Possibilities, is to improve understanding and access to neuroplasticity therapies, for people with brain injuries. It will one day become a residential neuroplasticity center based in nature and community. To continue the conversation or read the executive summary of Possibilities, please reach out to me at my email, carlie@possibility.center.
